You might have undergone gastric or bariatric surgery and can only eat in small portions, but you might still lead a busy life where there’ll be times when you just want to get a meal on the table ‘asap’. You’re just home from work and raging with hunger. You’ve been too busy all day to do any meal prep, even defrosting some meat. You were planning to go out or order in and now you just can’t be bothered (or realized you can’t afford it!) Or, you haven’t had time to go shopping and you don’t have any fresh vegetables, meat or chicken in the fridge. These are the times when you need ideas for a quick meal from the pantry (our ‘pantry’ extending to our fridge crisper and freezer, of course.)
While as varied as possible, almost all the recipes in this section can be made entirely from Pantry Essentials, Crisper Essentials and Standby Vegetables, so you’re sure to have most, if not all, the ingredients you need on hand. And on top of that, almost all the recipes are designed to be ready in 30 minutes or less.
